Special Needs Education

When a child is more colourful than the rest, he or she is deemed ‘special needs’. Why is there a need for such a label when all you need is a customized teaching program for that particular child to shine like a star, perhaps even more sparkling than the others?

Every child out there is different and in that simple statement, lays the great need for teaching to be designed, implemented and adjusted specifically for that child.
Learning Intervention (at home or our centre)
Is your child parroting? Is the teacher telling you that your child is unable to follow the routines of the class? Is your child unable to read, write or speak like his or her peers? Do you suspect that your child is on the spectrum?

Learning Intervention utilizes behavior modification techniques applied through a customized program to the particular problems faced. The program is drawn up in consultation with the parents with specific goals and then constantly updated or revised as necessary to ensure that your child is always improving.

Shadow Teaching (at your child's school)
Is your child struggling in school? Is he coming home from school with no clue on what the homework is or what has been taught? Are the teachers telling you to get help?

Shadow Teaching is the child’s personal support in a live classroom environment. The shadow teacher empowers the child to function independently and assists him or her to integrate socially. Ironically, a good shadow teacher works hard to be out of a job - simply because our goal is achieved when your child no longer needs us!

* In both cases, parents are updated after every session through a report on the child’s progress and development.

Other common support areas
Perhaps your child simply doesn't want to go to school? Or the school does not not how to deal with your child's particular needs? Simply drop us a line for a chat - you will be pleasantly surprised with our experience and ability to assist and nurture children with social, behavioural and emotional difficulties.
